Falconer by oupelay Falconer by oupelay
I did that drawing AGES ago (read more than 10 years ago) and it was never finished. I found it back in my old papers when I went to visit my parents last week. I started to color it in Photoshop and stopped: what's the point of coloring an unfinished drawing more than 10 years old? So this whole drawing will remain unfinished on all sides...

Thanks! That's appreciated, especially coming from a falconer!

This is one of the most beautiful,
elegant,well-drawn piece of art
work that I have even seen and
that's no joke.
Is Walt Disney's works the inspiration you had to create
this masterpiece?

I'm very flattered with your comment. I always liked that drawing and that's why I decided to edit it and decided to post it, even if it's an old work.
N.B.: I haven't forget your request; I just had no time to do it yet.

That's okay,as the old saying goes that
good things do come
to those that wait.

I don't know... a cute girl who has her own falcon? That's kind of... hot.
Or am I being weird again?

I think the partially color actually adds to the entire image, as it places emphasis on the character, and draws away from the border. If you ever decide to continue with it, you might want to just remove color from the woman's legs, as opposed to add more to it.

Thanks! I was thinking that continuing to color it was just going to mess it up.

Thanks! Very glad to hear from you again! I went to check at your old account; it's a pitty you put all your deviation in storage, but that's your art so you can do whatever you want with it :)

Cheers!

:wow: Actually, it is pretty cool as is. With only her being colored, it adds a nice touch and looks done on purpose.

I know it's old, but I love it!

The folds of the dress, and her hair especially. Wow. :D

Thanks! :) I guess back then I put it aside, thinking i was going to finish it later. Then I lost it. Some proportion were... strange... (face and neck way too long) but I tried to fix these minor details in Photoshop.
